My principal line of investigation is the study of surfaces and their implication in biofilm formation, with the subsequent transmission of microorganisms to food, causing damage or health risks. I also have extensive knowledge on the growth mechanisms, control, elimination and detection via quick methods (microscopy, ATP, immunology, rt-PCR, TEMPO and others) and in the transfer of technology.
Over thirty years field experience in health alerts in the food industry, having solved pathogenic issues in meat, poultry, dairy, vegetables & fruit and cereal plants.
