The Microlitix Acrylic/PU® Paint is a high qulity water based acrylic/PU paint with a soft touch and extra matt finish. Optimal for interior applications on a wide variety of surfaces, where a high scratch resistance and easy cleaning are required.
Drying time till touch is 1 hr., completely after 2 hrs and ready for a second coat after 4 hours.
Utilizing anti-microbial paints with minimal permeability is crucial in order to maintain human safety by preventing bacterial and fungal spread and growth, leading to bio-film formation. Harmful bacteria can cause dangerous, and even deadly symptoms to those exposed. Commonly used materials for walls are tiles, existing layers of paint, raw brick and stone. In the case of celings we encounter a wide variety too of surfaces: aluminum sheets, corrugated fibrecement planks, brick etc. In all of these cases we find high levels of permeability which accentuate the harbouring of microorganisms, thus promoting the growth of bio-films. Added to this is the fact that we are referring to wall and celings surfaces which usually have little to no maintenance in terms of cleaning.
The ability for these surfaces to maintain safe levels of bacteria in conjunction with regular cleaning is dependent on the porosity and permeability of the material. The more permeable the surface is, the more moisture and therefore bacteria can penetrate through the floor and continue to grow and thrive.
